Wyalkatchem is the “Beaut Place” with a “Strange Name” located 194 km North-East of Perth. Wyalkatchem has many attractions including a 1936 grain bin, preserved as an agricultural and transport museum in the town. Pay a visit to Korrelocking Reserve for a picnic and a stroll on the walk trail, particularly during the wildflower season. Or take a leisurely walk or drive through the town to enjoy the historic landmarks and a unique memorial park.
Wyalkatchem has most of the delights of a small country town, including many heritage-listed and National Trust buildings. The town is surrounded by an incredible range of colourful wildflowers, and farms as far as the eye can see. Wyalkatchem also has some of the most spectacular sunsets with a range of bright, vibrant colours that spread as wide as the horizon. And if you’re up early enough, the sunrise is just breathtaking!
